ICE accused of kidnapping children from parents
Original: “You kidnapped my son”
ICE is facing fresh criticism over reports that it is separating children from their parents at the border and reclassifying the minors as "unaccompanied," a designation that strips families of their right to stay together. Outrage is spreading online, with the phrase "You kidnapped my son" becoming a rallying cry against the practice and reviving memories of the 2018 family separation policy.
Why now: Reports that ICE is separating children from parents and labelling them unaccompanied have sparked renewed outrage over US immigration policy.
