OpenAI to Show Ads Next to ChatGPT Image Results
Original: OpenAI Is Putting Visual Ads Next to Your ChatGPT Image Results
OpenAI has begun placing visual advertisements alongside image results in ChatGPT, according to a report by Gadget Review. The move would mark a significant shift for the chatbot, which has so far kept its interface free of advertising. If confirmed, it would signal OpenAI's push toward new revenue streams as it faces rising computing costs and investor pressure to become profitable.
Why now: Advertising inside ChatGPT would be a major change to a product millions use daily and a new monetisation step for OpenAI.
