Nyjer Morgan emerges as Brewers' playoff good-luck charm

Original: The Brewers cult hero who sprinkled some of his magic on Chourio https://www. mlb.com/news/nyjer-morgan-good -luck-charm

Former Milwaukee outfielder Nyjer Morgan, known for his 'Tony Plush' persona during the Brewers' 2011 playoff run, has become a talking point again as Jackson Chourio stars in this postseason. Fans and MLB writers suggest Morgan's presence and spirit have rubbed off on the young Venezuelan outfielder, with calls for more 'Tony Plush' if Milwaukee pushes deep into October.

Why now: The Brewers are in the playoffs and Chourio's hot streak has revived nostalgia for Morgan's cult-hero 2011 run.
