Reports circulating online claim that protests have broken out in Moscow, with demonstrators calling for an end to Vladimir Putin's regime. The accounts describe a long-dormant spirit of resistance surfacing in the Russian capital, framing the unrest as part of broader opposition to the war in Ukraine. No independent confirmation of the scale of the protests is given, but observers are sharing the claims widely as tension over the conflict continues.
Why now: Claims of rare anti-government protests in wartime Moscow would be highly significant, so people are sharing and seeking confirmation.
