SNL Mocks Trump's Republican Allies in Cold Open

Original: washington post

Saturday Night Live opened its latest episode by satirising Donald Trump's Republican allies, according to The Washington Post. The sketch drew attention alongside separate reporting from the Irish Star alleging that Natalie Harp's late father was not a fan of Trump and criticised one of his proclamations as a joke. Together the stories fed ongoing discussion of Trump's inner circle.

Why now: New satire targeting Trump's allies and fresh reporting on a supporter's family are fuelling renewed scrutiny of the president's circle.
