Candidates in Iowa's Senate race are exchanging attacks over the Jeffrey Epstein files in new campaign advertisements. According to the New York Times, both sides are using the issue to question each other's judgment and ties, turning a national controversy into a central theme of a state-level contest as the midterm campaign season intensifies.
Why now: The Epstein files remain a politically charged issue, and their use in a competitive Senate race shows candidates see it as an effective line of attack.
