COCC faculty and administration reach tentative deal, strike averted
Original: ‘Life-changing’: COCC faculty, administration reach tentative agreement, averting strike
Faculty and administration at Central Oregon Community College have reached a tentative agreement, avoiding a planned strike. Union representatives described the deal as potentially 'life-changing' for instructors, though details of the terms have not been released. The agreement follows negotiations between the faculty union and college administration over working conditions and compensation.
Why now: A strike at a major regional community college was narrowly averted, making the settlement notable locally.
