A Sankei article recounts a writer's memories of middle school, where they were seen as an insufferable goody-goody student. Delinquency at the school was so widespread that every metal handle in the toilets had been removed. The nostalgic, humorous recollection of school-day mischief and social awkwardness is drawing amused reactions online.
Why now: The humorous, relatable contrast between a model student and rampant school delinquency is being shared widely.
