A family in Gaza says it has accumulated $250 in pharmacy debt and that pharmacies are now refusing to provide medicine until it is paid. In an appeal for donations, they say they urgently need about $100 for food, clean water and firewood for cooking, describing children going hungry amid the continuing humanitarian crisis in the territory.
Why now: People are responding to a direct fundraising appeal highlighting severe shortages of medicine, food and basic supplies in Gaza.
