French-language social media posts are accusing Israeli embassies of promoting a documentary titled 'NAZA La véritable histoire', allegedly using a title and web address nearly identical to another documentary that describes a military culture of massacres of civilians. Commenters frame the campaign as state-backed disinformation, calling Israel a specialist in fake news and circulating the claims widely in discussions on the Gaza conflict.
Why now: Ongoing anger over the Gaza war is driving scrutiny of Israeli public diplomacy and alleged disinformation campaigns.
