EU aid agency maps Sudan conflict displacement, September 2026
Original: Sudan | Conflict and population displacement (September 2026) - DG ECHO Daily Map | 05/10/2026
The European Commission's humanitarian service, DG ECHO, has published its daily map on Sudan covering conflict and population displacement for September 2026, dated 5 October 2026. The update tracks where fighting is driving people from their homes across the country. Sudan's war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces has produced one of the world's largest displacement crises, and regular humanitarian mapping is closely followed by aid organisations and donors responding to worsening needs.
Why now: Ongoing fighting in Sudan keeps displacement figures rising, and humanitarian updates on the crisis draw attention from aid agencies and the public.
