OldTown White Coffee to close last Singapore outlet

Original: kallang wave mall

OldTown White Coffee is shutting its final Singapore outlet, located at Kallang Wave Mall, after October 11, ending the Malaysian chain's presence in the country. Reports from CNA Lifestyle, AsiaOne and World Coffee Portal note it is the latest international coffee brand to exit the competitive Singapore market, where rising rents and intense competition have claimed several chains in recent years.

Why now: The closure of a well-known regional coffee chain's last Singapore outlet has just been announced, drawing attention to pressures on F&B businesses there.
