Google Adds Native Markdown Support in Drive and Docs
Google has announced that Markdown is now natively supported in Google Docs, with related handling in Google Drive. Users can write, paste and export content in Markdown without relying on workarounds or add-ons. The update is being welcomed by developers, writers and technical teams who have long asked for the lightweight formatting language in everyday documents.
Why now: Google Workspace users and Markdown fans are excited about a long-requested productivity feature arriving natively.
