BBC weather app's 'good visibility' reading raises eyebrows
Original: My BBC weather app is describing this as good visibility. #photography #weather
A BBC weather app has described conditions as 'good visibility' in what people are reading as an ironic comment on the actual weather, with the remark shared alongside a photograph of the scene. The complaint is that the forecast service's visibility reading does not match what people can see for themselves, a common frustration when app data and real conditions diverge.
Why now: The mismatch between the app's optimistic visibility reading and the poor conditions shown makes it a shareable weather gripe.
