Hellblade Developer Ninja Theory Reportedly Begins Layoffs
Original: "Awards Aren't What I Will Remember Most": Hellblade Dev Reportedly Begins Layoffs
Ninja Theory, the Cambridge-based studio behind Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, has reportedly begun laying off staff. The news carries extra sting coming from a team recently praised for its acclaimed work, with a developer's remark that awards are not what will be remembered most suggesting sourness over how staff are being treated despite critical success.
Why now: Layoffs at a celebrated award-winning game studio highlight the ongoing wave of job cuts in the games industry.
