Badenoch denies 'British Iron Dome' plan after Tory press release
Original: Badenoch denies 'British Iron Dome' plan - after Tories use phrase in press release https://www.theguardian.com/politics
Kemi Badenoch has denied that the Conservatives are proposing a 'British Iron Dome' missile defence system, despite the party's own press release using the phrase. The contradiction has drawn attention in UK politics, with critics highlighting the gap between the Tory leadership's official messaging and Badenoch's public denial of the plan.
Why now: The Tory leader contradicted her own party's press release, creating an awkward and widely noted inconsistency.
