Original: nebraska cornhuskers football

Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Matt Rhule has made an unexpected appearance on HBO's series "Lanterns," with The New York Times exploring how the football coach ended up involved in the DC show and what it says about his off-field pursuits. The story also touches on the Cornhuskers' search for their next quarterback, asking whether Nebraska's future signal-caller could be a "manhunter." Fans are amused by the crossover between college football and television.

Why now: The unusual overlap of a sitting college football coach appearing on a major HBO series has drawn attention during the college football offseason.
