Vehicle pulled from Kootenay River linked to 2004 missing person case
Original: kootenay river
Mounties in British Columbia say they have recovered a vehicle from the Kootenay River that is connected to a missing person investigation dating back to 2004. RCMP have not released the identity of the missing person or details of how the vehicle was found, and it remains unclear whether the recovery will lead to answers for the family after more than two decades.
Why now: The unexpected recovery of a vehicle tied to a two-decade-old disappearance is drawing renewed attention to a long-unsolved missing person case.
