Original: IOC sets out next steps for selecting 2036 Olympic Games host
The International Olympic Committee has outlined the next steps in its process for selecting the host city of the 2036 Summer Olympic Games. Under the IOC's continuous dialogue model, interested regions and cities are being assessed by its Future Host Commission before a formal election by IOC members. No host city or date for the decision has been announced.
Why now: The Olympic Games host selection affects many bidding cities and countries, so the formal process attracts broad international attention.
