Cosima von Bonin brings her soft toys to the Petit Palais
Original: Cosima von Bonin’s soft toys storm the Petit Palais
German artist Cosima von Bonin is showing her oversized soft toy sculptures at the Petit Palais in Paris. The plush creatures, a signature of her playful, critical take on the art world, take over the museum's ornate spaces in a striking contrast between whimsical fabric forms and Beaux-Arts grandeur.
Why now: The exhibition's unexpected pairing of playful stuffed sculptures with a classical Parisian museum is drawing attention in the art world.
