What a proportional Quebec National Assembly would look like
Original: lapresse
Quebec media are examining how the province's National Assembly would be composed if members were elected under a proportional representation system rather than the current first-past-the-post model. An infographic from Le Journal de Québec illustrates the hypothetical seat distribution, renewing discussion about electoral reform and whether a proportional system would make the legislature better reflect how Quebecers actually vote.
Why now: Renewed interest in Quebec electoral reform after an illustration of the seat changes proportional voting would bring.
