Israeli intelligence: Hamas plotting October 7-style attacks on troops in Gaza
Original: Hamas plotting October 7 attacks on IDF soldiers in Gaza, Israeli intelligence indicates
Israeli intelligence indicates Hamas is planning new October 7-style attacks targeting IDF soldiers operating in Gaza, the Jerusalem Post reports. The claim suggests the group may be seeking to repeat mass, coordinated assaults against Israeli forces rather than civilians. It comes as Israeli operations in Gaza continue, with no further details released about the intelligence or any planned response.
Why now: Ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza and the sensitive memory of the October 7 attacks make any report of a repeat plot highly topical.
