Original: westfield ruhr park

A court case in Bochum has drawn attention after two sisters went shopping at Ruhr Park carrying 4,550 euros, yet were caught shoplifting anyway. The Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung reports on the incident, which raises questions about why the women stole despite having plenty of money with them. Local readers are following the case for its sheer strangeness.

Why now: The paradox of stealing during a shopping trip with thousands of euros in hand makes the story an attention-grabbing local court case.
