Weekly reading list urges accessibility beyond mere compliance

Original: Ricky Onsman’s latest Weekly Reading List spans WCAG, AI, testing, assistive technology, inclusive design, and disabilit

Ricky Onsman has published a new edition of his Weekly Reading List, gathering articles on WCAG standards, artificial intelligence, testing, assistive technology, inclusive design and disability. The collection's central argument is that accessibility cannot stop at compliance: AI agents struggle with inaccessible websites, and there are concerns that reliance on AI could erode hands-on accessibility skills among practitioners.

Why now: Practitioners are actively debating how AI is reshaping web accessibility work and whether it helps or harms inclusive design.
