Original: எல்நினோ..மழை வராது? | Isro Former Cheif Sivan Pressmeet | Elnino | Climate Change
Former ISRO chairman Sivan addressed a press meet on El Nino, saying it could delay or reduce monsoon rainfall and adding to worries over climate change. His comments in Tamil have drawn wide attention as farmers and the public look ahead to the rainy season, with many debating how badly rains might fail.
Why now: People are worried that an El Nino year could bring a weak monsoon, and a prominent scientist's remarks have fuelled that discussion.
