Republican Hilton's 'Just try it' ad splits his own party
Original: Republican Hilton’s ‘Just try it’ ad courts liberals — and angers his own base
A Republican political figure, Hilton, has released a new campaign ad built around the message 'Just try it,' aimed at reaching liberal and independent voters. The strategy is drawing criticism from his own conservative base, who see the outreach as a betrayal, making the ad a flashpoint for debate over the party's electoral direction.
