Libya players erupt in furious protest over offside call
Original: libia
Libya's national team players staged an angry protest after a referee's whistle went against them during a recent match, only to realise they had misread the situation: the call was for offside. Clips of the heated scenes are circulating widely, with fans mocking the squad for not knowing football's offside rule and reigniting criticism of refereeing in African qualifiers.
Why now: The spectacle of professional players contesting a call without knowing the offside rule is going viral.
