Reports circulating in Kinyarwanda-language media claim a dangerous conflict is brewing in Africa, with Ethiopia said to be escalating tensions against Eritrea, Egypt and Sudan. The claims come amid ongoing disputes over the Nile waters and the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which have long strained relations between Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan, while Ethiopia's relationship with Eritrea has also grown fragile.
Why now: Fears of a multi-country war in the Horn of Africa and Nile basin are growing over the Nile dam dispute and Ethiopia-Eritrea friction.
