NBA 2K25 to Be Delisted as Online Servers Shut Down
Original: NBA 2K25 to Be Delisted after Two Years as Online Servers Shut Down
2K is shutting down the online servers for NBA 2K25, roughly two years after the basketball game's release, and the title will be delisted from digital storefronts. Players will lose access to online modes and the ability to purchase the game, a familiar but contentious practice that has drawn criticism from gamers over preservation and ownership of digital titles.
Why now: Gamers are reacting to losing online features and purchase access to a relatively recent title, reigniting debate over game preservation.
