Scottie Barnes criticises NBA officiating after frustrating game
Original: ‘I’m not trying to get fined’ – Scottie Barnes has already had enough of NBA officials
Toronto Raptors star Scottie Barnes has voiced frustration with NBA referees, saying 'I'm not trying to get fined' as he held back from a full airing of his complaints. His comments point to growing tension between players and officials over calls this season, with Barnes stopping short of direct criticism to avoid league punishment.
Why now: Players publicly clashing with NBA officiating, while carefully avoiding fines, draws attention in a high-profile league.
