Calls for Big Brother to punish transphobia among contestants
Original: Big Brother must punish transphobia – prejudice isn’t an opinion https:// fed.brid.gy/r/https://metro.co .uk/2026/10/06/
A Metro opinion piece argues that Big Brother should take disciplinary action against transphobic behaviour in the house, insisting that prejudice is not a valid opinion. The article reignites a familiar debate over whether reality shows should remove or sanction contestants for discriminatory remarks, or let viewers deliver the verdict.
Why now: Recent transphobic incidents on the current Big Brother series have prompted demands that producers take a firmer stance.
