India vs Uruguay ticket prices slashed amid empty seats

Original: india vs uruguay

Indian organisers have slashed ticket prices for the India vs Uruguay football match by up to 90%, cutting prices from Rs 1,999 to Rs 199, after thousands of empty seats were reported at the recent Brazil game. The steep discounts, reported by The Times of India, are an attempt to fill stadiums and boost attendance for the upcoming fixture against Uruguay.

Why now: The dramatic price cut and reports of poor attendance at recent India football matches have drawn widespread attention.
