Oregon Launches Roadside Wildlife Count Campaign
Original: Oregon Roadside Wildlife Count Campaign
Oregon is running a roadside wildlife count campaign, encouraging residents to report animals seen along highways. Organizers hope the collected data will show where wildlife crossings are most needed and help reduce vehicle-animal collisions across the state's roads.
Why now: Roadside wildlife surveys attract attention because they tie into road safety and conservation concerns in the region.
