Queen Camilla pays tribute to 'irrepressible' Jeffrey Archer
Original: Jeffrey Archer: Queen Camilla pays tribute to 'irrepressible' author and former politician
Queen Camilla has paid tribute to Jeffrey Archer, describing the bestselling author and former politician as 'irrepressible'. The tribute was reported by the BBC. Archer, a former Conservative Party deputy chairman and one of Britain's most commercially successful novelists, remains a prominent public figure, and warm words from the Queen are drawing attention from royal watchers and the literary world alike.
Why now: A public compliment from the Queen to a high-profile author and ex-politician is newsworthy in its own right.
