Steven D. Brewer, who has been blogging since 2002, is working to build an archive of his long-running site, stevendbrewer.com. The project focuses on preserving and migrating years of personal writing so it remains accessible. Early readers on Mastodon are sharing the post and discussing the value of keeping independent blogs archived over the long term.
Why now: Blog preservation and migration resonate with independent web users worried about losing two decades of personal writing.
