Ukraine launches major drone attack on Moscow region, killing two
Original: Ukraine launches major drone attack on Russia’s Moscow region, killing two
Ukraine carried out a large-scale drone strike on Russia's Moscow region, killing two people. The attack is one of the biggest Ukrainian drone operations aimed at the Russian capital area, and it comes as both countries continue escalating long-range strikes deep into each other's territory. The deaths are likely to intensify calls in Russia for stronger air defences and add to tensions around ongoing peace talks.
Why now: A rare deadly Ukrainian drone strike so close to Moscow highlights escalating long-range attacks between the two countries.
