Drinking water restrictions hit communes over pollution concerns

Original: pollution de leau

Several communes in the Hautes-Pyrénées area have been ordered to restrict use of tap water for drinking and food preparation after pollution affected the Neste water supply. Local reports say residents must rely on alternative water distributions while authorities test the network. The restrictions cover alimentary uses, and people are sharing warnings and updates across the region.

Why now: Residents in the affected communes are discussing the disruption to their drinking water supply.
