EU staff call the bloc's Teams alternative 'absolute rubbish'
Original: European Union’s Teams alternative called ‘absolute s**t’
The European Union's in-house alternative to Microsoft Teams is being publicly slammed, with critics branding it 'absolute s**t'. The EU developed its own messaging and conferencing tool as part of efforts to reduce dependence on US tech providers. Reports suggest internal frustration with the platform's performance and usability, turning the sovereignty project into a running joke about EU software.
Why now: The blunt criticism of a flagship EU digital-sovereignty project makes the story amusing and newsworthy right now.
