A bill introduced in the US House of Representatives honours Indian pilot Smit Machchhar for preventing an attempted terror attack on a flydubai flight. The legislation recognises his actions in safely handling the in-flight threat, drawing attention in both American and Indian media to the pilot's role in averting what could have been a major aviation security incident.
