Moscow region to test air raid sirens on October 9
Original: сирена
Authorities in the Moscow region have announced that air raid sirens will sound on October 9 as part of a scheduled test of the public warning system. The regional government said the check was postponed from an earlier date, and officials are urging residents not to panic when the sirens go off.
Why now: The planned sounding of sirens is drawing attention because any air raid warning test in the Moscow region causes public concern amid the war.
