NBA Fans Mock Gary Trent Jr. Misses Amid $64M Contract Probe
Original: ‘Shameless,’ ‘Someone Get This Footage to Pablo Torre’ — NBA World Piles On As Bucks’ Gary Trent Jr. ‘Bricks’ 3 Straight 3s Amid Probe Into $64M Deal
Milwaukee Bucks guard Gary Trent Jr. is drawing ridicule after missing three straight three-pointers, with fans and commentators calling the performance 'shameless' and joking that journalist Pablo Torre should obtain the footage. The mockery is amplified by an ongoing probe into his two-year, $64 million deal, which some suspect was structured improperly, tying his on-court struggles to the off-court investigation.
Why now: His high-profile missed shots coincide with scrutiny of his unusually large contract, making the moment ripe for speculation and jokes.
