Artist Inspired by Ed Sheeran Painting Holds First Show at 64
Original: Artist inspired by Ed Sheeran's painting set to hold first exhibition aged 64 https://www.standard.co.uk/culture/music/e
A 64-year-old artist is preparing to stage her first-ever exhibition after being inspired to take up painting by Ed Sheeran. The singer, who lives in Suffolk, paints in a Jackson Pollock-inspired style, and his work encouraged the late-blooming artist to pursue her own practice. Her debut show is set to open in Bury St Edmunds, a story being picked up as a heartening example of it never being too late to start creating art.
Why now: The unusual link between Ed Sheeran's hobby painting and a 64-year-old's first exhibition makes a warm, surprising human-interest story.
