Campaigners who reject the 2020 election result are spreading claims about ballot insecurity ahead of the 2026 US midterm elections, echoing Donald Trump's long-running false narrative about voter fraud. The Guardian reports that these figures are using the pre-midterm period to raise doubts about election integrity, fuelling concerns among voting rights advocates that such rhetoric could undermine public trust in the results and pressure election officials.
