Writer David Uclés praises Sol protest camp

Original: david uclés

Spanish writer David Uclés has commented on the encampment at Madrid's Sol square, saying: "Where others see threat and danger, I only saw hope and enthusiasm." His remarks, reported by Marca, frame the youth-led gathering in a positive light amid a wider debate about the protests, and have drawn attention to the writer's public stance on the movement.

Why now: His sympathetic remarks about the Sol protest camp contrast with more critical coverage, sparking debate.
