Reader Gives Mixed Verdict on Fantasy Sequel's Second Volume

A reader has posted a mixed review of a book's second volume, saying it keeps the strengths of the first instalment and the weaknesses of its predecessor, with more action and the same atmosphere. They finished it with two questions — "why" and "what happened here" — but expect other readers will enjoy it much more.
Why now: The book has just been read and the reviewer wanted to share a balanced take with fellow readers.
