Community theatre Hamlet tech week wears out volunteers
Original: Day 2 of Hamlet tech week and I'm already worn out. It has been extremely hectic. The most hectic. Tremedously hectic. M
A community theatre participant reports being exhausted on only the second day of technical rehearsals for a production of Hamlet, describing the week as extremely hectic. Tech week, when lighting, sound and staging are integrated before opening night, is notoriously demanding for volunteer theatre groups, and the post playfully exaggerates the chaos to vent about the workload.
Why now: People involved in community theatre relate to the exhausting demands of tech week and enjoy the humorous exaggerated tone.
