German paediatricians and psychologists call for stricter children's media rules
Original: Medienkonsum: Kinderärzte und Psychologen setzen auf strengere Regeln für Kinder | heise online https://www. heise.de/ne
German paediatricians and psychologists are calling for stricter rules on children's media consumption, as reported by heise online. The professional groups argue current guidelines are insufficient to protect children's development in a media-saturated environment. The debate touches on digital literacy and media competence, and is drawing attention among educators and parents discussing how much screen time is appropriate for young people.
Why now: Ongoing public concern about children's screen time and the health effects of digital media is prompting professional groups to push for tighter regulation.
