Aaron Sorkin's The Social Reckoning puts Facebook on trial

Original: the social reckoning

Aaron Sorkin's new drama The Social Reckoning, a follow-up to The Social Network, is drawing widespread attention as reviews land. The film portrays an 'evil puppet' version of Mark Zuckerberg and puts Facebook on trial, with reporting referencing a $2 trillion Meta secret exposed on screen. Critics are divided: the BBC gave it two stars, arguing it won't change minds, while the Guardian called it jittery and The West Australian said it hits harder than the original.

Why now: The film's release and its sharply split reviews of its unflattering portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg and Meta are driving conversation.
