The Onion Mocks DNC With Preemptive Midterm Loss Autopsy
Original: DNC Releases Preemptive Autopsy Into Why They Lost Midterms https:// fed.brid.gy/r/https://theonion .com/dnc-releases-pr
The satirical news outlet The Onion has published a piece claiming the Democratic National Committee released a preemptive autopsy into why it lost the midterm elections, before the vote has even happened. The joke mocks the party's habit of commissioning post-election self-examinations, suggesting defeat is assumed in advance.
Why now: Readers are sharing the satire as commentary on Democratic pessimism and strategizing ahead of the midterm elections.
