Posts are circulating about a pro-Palestine event at Piccadilly Circus in London, shared with hashtags calling for a ceasefire and a free Palestine. The watermelon emoji and dove symbols used in the posts are widely recognised expressions of solidarity with Palestinians, and the shares link to video footage of the scene in the landmark square.
Why now: Ongoing conflict in Gaza and continuing pro-Palestine demonstrations in London keep the topic highly visible.
